About

Alba in Scots Gaelic (Scotland) is a country, and since 1603, absorbed by the British Empire. Caledonia is an ancient Latin name given to that part of Scotland north of the River Forth, which the Roman Empire was never able to conquer. It's the Scottish Highlands.

Remembering

A profound connection and inner solace absorbs me when I visit this beautiful land. I share history through my ancestors with Old Scotland, when many Scots and many Europeans struggled for freedom from the yoke of empire. Scotland is a special place for me.
