Hawai'i (Hawaii) is an island state of the United States of America, located in the Pacific Ocean about 2,000 miles (3,200 km) southwest of the U.S. mainland. Maui is the main island within the State of Hawaii's Maui County, along with Moloka'i, Lana'i, Kaho'olawe, and Molokini.
Many years ago, my wife and I spent our honeymoon and vacations on Maui - before it became developed into a pricey tourist hotbed for the well-to-do of today. We miss those many natural ocean-side hideaways in Kihei, now gone. Still, fond memories of "Hawai'iloa" are forever.
